Sewing a Fitted Mask.  I have a YouTube video that walks you through this pattern. Here is the pattern

Fitted mask instructions:

Materials:
Wire for nose piece (I use 22 or 24 gage coated floral wire)
Tea towel for filter
2 different fabrics

Cut 2 each of the full pattern for the outer layer.  Cut 2 of a different fabric with the pattern folded for the inner layer.  Cut 2 from the tea towel with the pattern folded for the filter layer.

Sew ¼” along the curved outer edge of each of the 3 pairs of fabric.  Clip the curve.  Press the seams.

Cut 7-8” of the wire and fold in half, twisting together.  Attach the wire across the bridge of the nose (1/2” from the edge) of the filter piece using a zigzag stitch. Put a dab of hot glue over the cut ends of the wire and place a tiny scrap of tea towel over the glue.  Be careful to keep the glue close to the wire and far away from the edge of the fabric where you will be sewing.

Pin the 3 layers together in the following order: outer layer right side up, inner layer right side down, tea towel layer wire side up.  Pin across the top and bottom of the mask.  Sew top and bottom edge of the mask with ¼” seam. Turn and press, keeping the hot iron away from the area with hot glue.

Top stitch along the top edge of the mask.  Top stitch down near the center seam (sewing from top to bottom).  Top stitch along the bottom edge of the mask.  Press under the casing edge of the outer layer ¼”, and again ½” making a casing for elastic.  Stitch close to the edge of the casing.  Clip threads.  If using elastic, thread one piece through one casing and then through the other casing making a continuous loop.

Filter pocket variation: after you clip the curves and press the seams of the individual pieces, take the inner layer and press under ¼” to ½” of the side edge.  Sew in place.  Continue pattern as normal.
